EGL Group Limited – Who is EGL and what does EGL do?

EGL Group Limited was born out Eagle Energy Group Ltd, the Luxembourg coal trading and distribution company. Formally known as Eagle Energy UK Limited, EGL UK was established in 1995.

The energy market is dynamic and within that coal supply has in the past 10 years become increasingly complex. We keep ahead of changes and the influences on the market and in doing so provide protection for our customers.

EGL Group activities

Activities include:

• Coal and related products trading.
• Coal supply and associated logistics
• Coal and related products processing and recovery and development of new and previously worked reserves. Planning applications for extraction.
• Supply of aggregates & ash.
• Filter media manufacture and marketing
• House building & Property development

Coal traders/suppliers/processors

EGL are not coal brokers, EGL purchase coal as a principal from mining companies worldwide, maintaining relationships with the mines, providing direct or indirect financial support where appropriate.

EGL add value to products through processing & logistics to enhance or change the size or quality or by providing services such as funding or stocking.

EGL work closely with mining companies to identify and secure sales opportunities for their products.

EGL is an experienced coal processing company with its own processing operations including crushing and screening in South Wales and Scotland.

EGL also dry and crush coal at its Puracite factory for worldwide distribution to satisfy specialised applications.

EGL are involved in all sectors of the carbon market, utility, general industrial, domestic home heating, metallurgical and specialised filter media.
